please lah, why must teochew? go look around ave 3/5/7, teochews numbers are dropping. There a couple blocks mostly cantonese (ex-hongkies) LTK may won his first time because he teochew but kaki lang also can use one time only. LTK retained hougang not because he a teochew but he fought for the interests of all hougang residents.

no lah...LTK won cos of the kaki lang thing,....he retained the seat cos he is a good MP and residents are happy with him, YSL was also popular and he is Kaki lang,,,and YSL is a good MP..but now WP have to find a candidate that hougang residents are happy with...if Hougang now is no longer teochew dominated than other dialect group members can maybe contest..but if still teochew than better a kaki lang candidate lor
