WP to send GRC MP to PE

Palmer has resigned and so PE is without an MP. What legal rights have TSL to assume that he is “covering” the work of the ex-MP. This open the door for the other political parties also to send their nominees and to do likewise and be given equal privileges.

For a start WP should send its MP in their GRC to cover Palmer duties.

It is not the time for heroics. If LLL could be persuaded, they might send someone else. I don't think they will sacrifice an NCMP though for MP or NCMP, it still counts as a voice in parliament, even though NCMP has no voting rights. Voting rights today is just academic under the present skew representation with more than two-thirds control by the PAP.

Don't you realise that, in a way, PAP has already started the election campaign. Let the other parties join in the fray too.

That could be if that is in fact the rule but it would be unlikely that such a rule could be passed. What if the runner up actually lost his deposit? Should he actually be given the seat?

LOL.... seriously though the 41 per cent obtained by Li Lian is far better than the 30 per cent of you know who.
