WP has been fined $800 for running a Chinese New Year Trade Fair without permit.

The issue is not about running a CNY Fair. The issue is not about no permit.

The issue is about PAP's tyranny and arrogance. The issue is about pap using govt agencies to fix the Opposition.

Why must NEA compel an MP voted in by the people to get the endorsement of a PAP CCC chairman to support his Trade Fair? The reason is that the pap wants to make life difficult and work impossible for an Opposition to serve his residents and his constituency.

On a different note, why is a pap man made PA and grassroot advisor when he had been rejected by the electorate? Why does MND/HDB require an elected Opposition MP to seek the endorsement of a defeated PAP candidate for his constituency's upgrading?

Bravos to WP for standing up to PAP's tyranny. This case has educated many Singaporeans on how the pap has tried to "fix" the Opposition.

I suspect pap got cold feet along the way and dare not impose the maximum fine of $1000. Even at $800 the damage for the pap is done.

Today is Xmas Eve, and Hougang Central Hub is empty because we are unable to organise activities to benefit residents and businesses in the area. The TC has also lost a source of revenue to manage its operations.

We have noted that the State Court has declined to rule on whether NEA’s requirements are valid and reasonable. We will be consulting our lawyers to study the options to pursue these matters in the High Court.
