In his 14 Jan 2016 Facebook post on the #JakartaBlasts, Workers' Party (WP) Bernard Chen "joined" Member of Parliament for MacPherson Ms Tin Pei Ling in offering his condolences.
Initially we were puzzled as to why he did this, but then we realized that Bernard Chen had tagged Tin Pei Ling in his post. This is an obvious attempt by him to leverage on Ms Tin's social media fan base to spread his message. This is classic Bernard Chen who is not interested to do the work, but chooses the easy way out by riding on the hard work of others.
Since the end of GE 2015, Bernard has not only tried to steal credit for work done by Tin Pei Ling, he has also posted misleading status updates on his Facebook pretending to be working the ground when he is not. Now, his latest trick is to steal the hard work of Ms Tin in building her social media fan base. All these actions point to only one thing. Bernard Chen is a person of poor character and he clearly lacks the value of integrity.
