New Delhi, Aug 17: A 35-year-old man was on Thursday arrested for blackmailing and raping his daughter at their house for last two years.
The accused, a resident of Jahangirpuri, was arrested when the girl told his aunty about the sexual assault who then informed an NGO.
In her complaint, the girl said that she was blackmailed and raped by her father for the last two years. Her father used to blackmail her mother as well and threatened her to keep mum or he’ll kill their sons.
The victim told the police that her father used to rape the girl when there was no one at home. Her father was an alcoholic. The victim’s aunt informed the NGO and then a police station when she finally broke her silence.
Her medical reports confirmed rape and she has been sent for a counselling.
