Woman undergoes liposuction in order to wear underwear

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A 37-year-old woman decided not to wear underwear a year ago as she found that the material could not be secured on her abdomen due to the extra fat deposited around her midsection, which led to her disproportionately small buttocks, according to the Kuang Tien General Hospital.

The woman, surnamed Wang, expressed to a medical staff in the hospital that due this winter's cold weather, wearing just a coat with no underwear made her “lady parts” too cold. Therefore, Wang expressed her determination to undergo micro liposuction surgery to get rid of the ring of fat around her midsection once and for all.

Wang further said that before getting married, her figure was slender, but after giving birth to two children, a lot of fat was disproportionately distributed around her waist while her limbs and buttocks stayed slender. Wang made countless attempts in the past to lose weight through dieting or taking pills, but to no avail.

Kuang Tien General Hospital Plastic & Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery Center doctor Hao Zhi-hua (郝治華) said that Wang had too much fat deposited around her waist, so to increase the safety of the surgery, partial anesthesia will be applied and the incision will be minimal to remove 8,700cc of fat.

Hao also explained that the reason why all the fat was disproportionately accumulated around her midsection was because her belly lost most of its elasticity, giving fat the tendency to accumulate.

Wang expressed that after her surgery what she wanted to do the most was to buy herself a nice pair of underwear. Hao reminded the public that the best way to lose weight is through effective exercise and a balanced diet instead of resorting to diet pills and other unhealthy remedies.
