Woman nabbed for suspected involvement in loansharking

Police arrested a 46-year-old woman on Friday, for suspected involvement in loansharking activities.
Officers from the Jurong Police Division first spotted the suspect at 11.30am that same day in Woodlands and conducted a check on her.
They found that she was distributing flyers offering financial services but when it was confirmed that the firm stated on the flyers was not a registered moneylending company, she was placed under arrest for assisting in an unlicensed moneylending business.
Stacks of flyers were seized as case exhibits.
