Woman investigated for lodging false report that she was raped

SINGAPORE - A 20-year-old woman is under police investigation for making a false police report on May 22 alleging that she was raped on April 1.
She lodged the report after she discovered the man whom she had consensual sex with, had circulated nude photographs of her.
Investigations are on-going.
Anyone who is convicted for giving any information which he knows to be false to a public servant may be jailed up to one year, or fined up to $5000, or with both.
Anyone who is convicted for circulating obscene materials shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both.
