Woman charged with performing sexual acts on girl

A 21-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of performing a sexual act on a girl who was then about 13 years old in November 2008.

It is believed that the pair was in a relationship at the time. The student allegedly committed the act in a flat.

It is believed the woman performed the same act on the girl at Siloso Beach Resort in Sentosa on Feb 1 last year.

A pre-trial conference will be held on Sept 13.

Those convicted of the crime can be jailed up to two years, fined a maximum of $5,000 or both. Repeat offenders can be jailed up to four years, fined a maximum of $10,000 or both.
