Ironic, since the Ming dynasty came to a shameful end. Probably the most embarrassing end of all the later dynasties of China. 
Eradicate the stupid Asian/Confucian 'divine mandate of heaven' nonsense and you won't have such a problem. A country's leader is supposed to be hired and fired like football managers. Not have some shameless entitled individual clinging onto power for dear life for decades.
