SINGAPORE: A rat infestation has been discovered in Bedok Reservoir housing estate, with over 10 rat holes found in just three months.
Each hole can reportedly contain up to 30 rodents.
Hence, any burrows that are discovered are quickly sealed up with rocks and soil, while drainage holes are capped with metal covers that can withstand a rat¡¯s bite.
Residents of blocks 604, 608, 612 and 618 said the problem started last October, and they believe a rubbish dump is the cause.
Aljunied Town Counil, which oversees the area, said it is working with pest control companies and will lay baits around the affected blocks.

If the excuse 'I didn't see it coming' is acceptable, then all MIW despite their millions in salary, can be absolved of any problems or incompetencies.
