no la it's corruption. These book makers like wilson raj were paying clubs to lose on purpose. Match fixing. It isn't about killing vices and so on. Yes it's true that these bookmakers in the UK might be fixing matches and i heard that certain leagues like italian leagues for example are all fixed matches but either they don't want to investigate and expose them or they really cover their ass very well. Also those sponsers like say bet365 which is UK based are legal bookmakers and based in the UK. Something like singapore pools sponsering a local football team. The govt wouldn't shut that down. In contrast those bookies like wilson raj are illegal bookies and fixing matches.

I heard that most major leagues are corrupt in one way or another like there's ppl behind influencing the outcome but in general i think the most popular matches like finals are probably not so easy to fix unless the backer is very powerful. Something like you notice how the host country of the world cup can at least get into the semi finals everytime.

Even if they are able to do it, why must they go through the trouble? Bookmakers are like casinos. You bet, they win. 100% The more the merrier. No fixing needed.
