Fuck, if these maids don't know how to look after children and old folks why the hell are they even allowed to work in singapore, and now our taxpayer money got to train them to do something they should already know?

SINGAPORE: A new course on maternal and infant care will be open to foreign domestic workers from Dec 4, announced the Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Social Support and Training (FAST) on Monday (Nov 14).
The classes will be conducted by FAST's training provider, Aria Training and Consultancy.

It will cover topics such as child safety, wellness care, bottle feeding support and handling emergency situations.

The course includes maternal care as well, touching on post-natal care, confinement diet as well as massages. "We have also included Jammu wraps, which will be taught by therapists, and we will also incorporate baby tui na (a Chinese massage) as part of our programme,” said Ms Jess Ang, general manager of Aria Training and Consultancy. “So it's fusion-based, where it will not just cater to our Chinese families, but it will also be inclusive of other treatment methods."
The course was launched amid greater demand for maids trained in infant care. One of FAST's partner agencies, Apex Employment Agency, said it has seen a 15 to 20 per cent increase over the last three years.
The 80-hour course will take place on Sundays over 10 months. It costs S$180 for domestic workers or their employers, after a subsidy of S$300 from FAST.
"We are going to get the embassies to recognise the certification that they will secure so when they go back to their own countries, they will be recognised as a specialist in this area and that may ensure lifelong employability for them," said FAST President Seah Seng Choon.

The Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Skills Training (FAST) was formed on 23 March 2005 as a society. It was registered under the Charities Act on 11 Dec 2007.
Since April 2013, FAST, a charity supported by MOM, has expanded its role. Besides providing skills training, FAST now also provides social support to the FDWs working in Singapore. As such it has changed its name to the Foreign Domestic Worker Association for Social Support and Training.

If not how can ths kids survive the neglect from their own parents?

they are also not trained to wash cars at 6 in the morning and windows at noon.
