Meanwhile.......in Singapore, many things were failing,
Most wanted man escaped under the noses of the guards in
Singapore's tightest security prison. This man who walks
with a limp, vanished and eluded his pursuers for days despite
an island-wide hunt, even dropping by to visit his family. He
was eventually caught across the border in neighbouring
Malaysia by the Malaysian authorities.
There were recurring floods all over Singapore, an event supposed to occur
once every 50 years. Even unheard of in the past, Singapore's tourist belt,
Orchard Road flooded several times causing untold damages and misery.
During the Singapore Youth Olympic Games that cost the host $387 million,
organisers did not see fit to provide proper food for volunteers. There were
cases some even suffered food poisoning. The Minister in charge was on record
to say he had exceeded more than 3 times, the initial budget of $104 million and
he had no regrets and would do it again if necessary.
And meanwhile......elsewhere in Singapore things were working like clockwork,
ever since it's inception never ever to fail to bring in millions into the pockets
of the government!!
