Why No Apology From Lianhe Zaobao?

Goh Sin Teck, Editor of SPH Lianhe Zaobao issued a statement on its publication of unverified and untrue allegations about WP candidate Dr Daniel Goh having an extra-marital affairs.

According to him, Zaobao had told Dr Goh that "if he had any further comments, they would need to reach us by 11.20 pm to meet the print deadline".

Dr Goh issued a 2nd refutation at 11.15 pm but Zaobao went ahead with the story without that refutation.

According to Goh Sin Teck, this was due to a lapse of communication, no doubt due to the rush to meet the print deadline.

Goh Sin Teck who has in the past taken potshots at WP leader Low Thia Khiang did not issue an apology.
