Do you really think he is responsible for society opening up? Or is this a natural process due to increased and improved technology and communications? It is not only happening in Singapore but a worldwide phenomena right? I wouldn't say he is the reason behind this "operness." No doubt about it that old generations would favour their next generation of taking over the family business, but given the education, contacts, and wealth this man was born into, he could have ventured into so many other fields that could enhance humanity and the quality of life of the citizens, but he simply sat in his papa's chair and took over the helm of the country while it went along the flow of the course of the region's development, of which Singapore already was enjoying the lead and the point of focus for international investments into the region. He didn't innovate anything new or dramatic. I have nothing against him, just that I would not place him on a pedestal and adore the ground he walks on. He is very a ordinary, albeit lucky, man.

this fella from the day he become the pm, he always acted farni and jovial, unlike his father. so it appear that he can take jokes and so come roy, who started his blog on the cpf. he got sued...? on one hand, the government wants cohesiveness among the citizens, on the other, he set himself an example by suing him. if one is to look at the picture, others of course will think that he can take jibes and i remember he said that he is thick skin enough not to be bothered by online comments. so why now sue roy...?
