A: Selling curry puffs at MRT stations is illegal -- please do not buy from them
singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg

i would always stop my car if i see apok-apok seller selling their curry puffs at mrt station. it's actually very nice. hot, cheap and good! only $1 for 3 pieces either potato or sardine.

usually i would buy a dozen of each back for snacks. why is the gov stopping this? does it mean that the home-made ice cream seller would be arrested too? his ice creams of traditional flavors like chocolate, durian, corn, attap chee, red beans and extra would be gone soon too? it's very cheap at only 50c a cone with 3 different flavors of small balls ice-cream either on a waffle crunchy cone or a rainbow bread or in a small cup.

this are little pleasures which heartlanders enjoy. the gov should just close an eye to it.

there used to be a muah chi auntie selling at my li'l brother leetahsar area. ever tried it b4 and her muah chi was delicious. QQ with flavorful sesame n peanut sprinkle. heard fr my li'l brother the auntie was arrested with all her wares confiscated. after that she was no longer seen :(

at some mrt stations, u could find otak seller. again, very good otak at 30c a stick. hmmm....that seems to be missing too these days. fined and arrested??

once in our landed neighbourhood, there was a roaming pachik satay seller who sold damn good authentic malay satays in beef, mutton and chicken. wow!! his special home-made peanut gravy sauce was really a die-for must have. his extra longer satay sold quite cheaply too at 50c a stick and his ketupat (rice cube wrapped in weaved coconut leaves) was simply too fragrant to resist and only sold like 30c.

that was missing now and greatly missed by the denizens of our neighbourhood :(
