I suspect it is because Elephants are vegan and that is why they dont get cancer.

Cancer is much less common in elephants than in humans, even though the big beasts' bodies have many more cells. Now researchers think they may have an explanation — one they say might someday lead to new ways to protect people from cancer.

Bro, I think cancer is not so well understood yet. It was said that sharks do not get cancer, are sharks vegetarians? I am in favour of veggie diet, but more from a view of animal cruelty, but I do eat meat, in fact, I love meat more than veggies but am making a conscious effort to reduce my intake of meat - mainly because many of my friends have issues with high bp, high cholesterol, high uric acid, and other health concerns - so this meat diet thing is always on my mind. As for cancer, I do not know, and from the way things are, it looks like even those in the industry know little more than the man in the street.

I thought maintaining a veg*an diet was supposed to lower the risk of cancer, but we've seen a number of people who identify as vegetarian or vegan who have developed and died from cancer, including such celebrities as:

Linda McCartney
Steve Jobs
Davy Jones of the Monkees
Sam Simon, co-creator of The Simpsons (he hasn't died, yet, but he's terminal; see thefadedone's thread on this guy)

Beyond the tragedy of seeing such people with cancer, and the knowledge that my own vegetarian diet may not matter in the long run if I still have a risk of developing cancer, it saddens me because this has been used as a weapon in the hands of the anti-veg camp as proof that a veg*an diet not only does NOT reduce the risk of cancer but in fact actually CAUSES cancer. What the hell would you say to somebody who insists on making that correlation?

in addition, elephants are pretty smart animals coz when they fuck, the grass suffers.
this makes the grass mushy and easier to tuck in larger amounts.
heck, some of the smarter ones practice the withdrawal method, making it even easier to digest when gravy is present :p
