only recently he started to collect ideas? a simple third party liability insurance would have easily fix the problem. imagine how many more people will die in such a terrible way before something workable is implemented?

Singapore: Most road users, including pedestrians and cyclists, want to see a balanced approach in the drive for safer roads.

The Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim also said, most agree that road safety is for all road users and hope for the needs of different users to be realistically met.

Commenting on Facebook, Mr Faishal Ibrahim said he has gathered the feedback from road users he has been engaging with since September 2012.

He asked all road users to contribute in any way they can towards efforts to promote road safety.

He has also met representatives from agencies such as the Traffic Police, Land Transport Authority and Singapore Road Safety Council to discuss ways to make Singapore's roads safer and will share the details when they're ready.

His Facebook comments come in the wake of the 28 January accident in Tampines, where a pair of young brothers died after being hit by a cement mixer truck.
