Why did LHL risk the future of Singapore?

LHL has said that low pay for politicians will hinder capable Singaporeans from joining politics and hence jeopardize the future of Singapore. If LHL truly believes in his own garbage logic, then why did he jeopardize the future of Singapore by asking a committee to review such salaries? If his belief was so strong then why not just leave things as they were or even increase the salaries?

By putting the issue on the backs of the committee he was hoping to absolve himself, his father and his political party from being rightly linked as the perpetrators of such a ridiculous scheme. Instead, the opposite has happened and more Singaporeans are now in the know on how much bonuses these terrorists against our reserves can easily obtain.

By tasking such a committee to review the ministerial salaries, it is a tacit admission that the salaries for the past 5 years were too good to be true.

The issue of attracting capable people has very little to do with money, everything to do with what has transpired and the dismal state of civil society and political discourse in Singapore.

The quality of our PM is extremely pathetic. He is both shameless and shameful. He is a near-idiot. WIth such a PM, does anyone else wonder why lower and middle income Singaporeans are in such dire straits?

If only the PAPpies and their supporters knew how bimbotic this PM is and then to be aligned with such a poor and pathetic human being - not only aligned but to actually be subservient to such an imbecile. Oh my, how poor the PAPpies have become. Not only do they lack moral authority but they lack intellect and foresight. I often wonder how did we ever end up with such pathetic leaders and then I realise that LKY is still present.
