I cannot understand this. YMCA was so pro govt you would think spectrum and cold store did not exist! Are they mad? Same with the Malays. Do they think they are being treated very fairly by the govt, especially civil servants, or military? Indians and the little India riot? A murderer was allowed to walk. In fact the police gave him immunity! What do you think?

It is a fact that the mainstream churches and mega-churches in Singapore are all pro-PAP, whether they're fundie churches like FCBD or prosperity gospel churches like City Harvest and The Rock. Your congregation vote for us, we let you make your mega-bucks. Win-win. Why rock the boat.

The only exception is the Roman Catholic Church. But after Operation Spectrum in '87, it's once bitten, twice shy. Still, if you go to mass regularly, you can hear subversive socialist homilies being preached by the priests. The message hasn't changed; it's just gone under the radar.

There is no reason(s) for Christians to protest in Singapore. They are allowed to worship their god (and their family members even), celebrate all their christian festivals (got public holiday some more). Their churches are not under threat of getting bombed. And some of their officials even get rich from dipping their hands into members' donations!!!

I agree with you. With NCC partnering Capitol Land to build STAR at Buona Vista. It already signal an intention to align with government's policy. FCBC and City harvest should have done what NCC did long long time ago. It is just that no one from these churches has the cloud to do so.
