Are you sure Chan Chun Sing was in charge of strategic matters for the Punggol East by-election??

I thought Teo Chee Hean was running the PAP's campaign. Chan was just helping out.

Chan is not a politician, he has very limited political experience especially in a properly contested election campaign. He himself has never won an election. He was in Tanjong Pagar GRC which was the ONLY walkover constituency in 2011. What does he know about executing a campaign?

This is a manifestation of thinking that the electorate is stupid.
When you respect the electorate and even if you want to lie, you will scheme up a highly elaborate lie to fool all of us.

But these pappies are not like that. They think we are all PSLE drop-outs and therefore their play-acting are all the low-level-bluff-kids type. Even when they speak at the podium during the rallies, they talk down at us.

They think their Cambridge degrees mean big fuck. They think being doctors and lawyers mean big fuck.
