Train Derails at Chicago Airport, Makes It Halfway Up the Stairs

At just before 3 am CT this morning, a Blue Line train at Chicago's O'Hare airport jumped the rails. And kept going.

how much is the Chicago mayor paid? How much is Lui paid?

In Chicago, or everywhere in US, most people drive their own cars.
Thus, lousy public transport is not a much concern.
Also, cities are not too crowded and life style is quite relax.
They can even laugh for something bad.
Their Gov. and city mayors are always scrutinized for any wrongdoing, and their media play hard balls finding fault at them.

In Sinkapore, most people rely on public transport as the car ownership is far too expensive.
They are under stress and catching up for next step all the time.
Our Gov. and mayors (note: we have few mayors in this tiny city) earn much much more and always under protection.
You need police permit to send private eyes or investigate any case linking to our dearest office bearers.

You think which is best, better, betterer and betterest!!!
And, whom you will accept as your leaders.

If I have to get to Changi airport & I am taking the MRT I have to plan on going 3 hours in advance. Nowadays with the "difficulties" I probably have to factor in 4 hours or simply take a cab.

due to much lower traffic load and passenger density, you would expect a transit system to be subjected to less stress and maintenance issues. despite the lighter use and lower wear and tear, they suffer more serious breakdowns including but not limited to injury-causing derailment and station destruction. if they had similar sinkie loads and frequency of use, they would be running off tracks every day. sinkies can consider themselves lucky for having a system that carries more passengers, runs more frequently, has shorter wait intervals, yet functions more efficiently and safely based on a much higher passenger load per minute factor. even with very much fatter, heavier chicagoans in consideration. :D

Please dont compare the worst!
Just compare Taiwan and HK is enough.
So far SMRT are behind these 2 country.
