who down here like to dump old things at your brother/friends?

I mean you get your bonus alreadi
then u buy a new LED TV
u give away your old CRT TV to your little brother or friend sataying somewhere

and then u spurl on a new epson bubble jet printer
only to find the ink is too expensive
then yo put it aside

and then you spend a fortune on anthony robbins cassette tapesthen now no one use a cassette tape recorder

then u think about your poor brother/friend who might need it...

you visit him and you dump your garbage at his house hoping he will somehow need it...

since you feel guilty to throw a away a perfectly OK CRT TV, so u push the 'guilt' to your friend/brother hoping he somehow will use it..

and then you turn around and you feel 'good' becos you just 'helped' someone and you walk away thinking you are entitled to good karma

Just like those who dumped old clothes and bra to help the Tsunami victims.

There are many people who think that they do good deeds or have obtained good karma for themselves, when all they have done is to unload their burdens or unwanted things on someone else.

Not sure about u guys out there but in the place where I work there is a small noticeboard in the pantry where we stick personal notes. Usually like ( Old CTV 29" anybody interested pls call Dexson at maint or 2yo Hoz loading washing machine giving for free call Roberto at finance) something like that. Usually those who want them are mostly FTs working in SG. Seems like SGP very rich never want any 2nd hand stuff.

I'm from the older generations & suspect many from past generations still believe in using & repairing & not discarding. It's got nothing to do with being local or FT.

Its the new generation of Sporeans that are are part of the throwaway society. its an unhealthy attitude that the PAP is encouraging

Discarding of old workers for cheaper younger foreigners, upgrading of expensive old cars for newer more expensive cars,..., & so it goes on.

go to sungei road n set up a stall using army issued green groundsheets lor.
