Yes, caught my fair share of giant groupers or kau tun, through the years. They offer very little fight, just a lot of dead weight.

in the video, they did not use a fishing reel, just a strong fixed line on a rod. Hence the fight was crazy, because there was no line to pay out when the fish resisted. BTW, besides the woman moaning like she's being fucked in the ass, that hand waving and pointing in front of the camera was annoying.

Yes generally. But even a smaller fish of 1kg can fight like hell eg snappers, trevallies, queenfish, cobia etc. It depends on the breed, line poundage, rod rating, sea current and whether the angler just exhausted himself during sex , etc.
