Since the Presidential Election is not about political issues (due to no parties being able to contest) but rather about the personality of each individual candidate, what is YOUR main criteria when deciding on how to cast your vote?
Is it..
1) Whether the President will donate a % of his salary to charity?
2) Whether the President has links to the PAP or not?
3) Whether the President is presentable on the international stage?
4) Whether the President has a track record of speaking for the people (and against the PAP)?
5) Whether the President will commute death sentences?
6) Whether the President has policies for safeguarding reserves?
Please elaborate on your views. I suspect that a great number of voters will consider criteria (2) and (4) most strongly. They just want a non-PAP man with as few links to the PAP as possible, regardless of all else. True or false?
