Workers' Party has been voicing out their opinions on practical issues, while SDP is going around doing social work and urging people to protest.

during GE, SPP promised dragon and phoenixs, but they are so quiet now. I remember Benjamin was a high level civil servant. but there isn't any whimper from them now.

Someone just said here that WP hasn't been voicing out? I guess it's different perceptions of glass half empty or half full.

SPP has been carrying out MPS at Bishan - rare and tough for a party. They are also going to have a national day dinner on 20 Aug.

SDP is admirable. Not only speaking out but doing some groundwork. It has always been a strange party to me. Compare the number of candidates and results it gets, it certainly has proportionally a lot more resources than the support it receives. It has an even bigger and nicer office than WP, its website more updated than TOC and TR combined and even the 24-candidate NSP is not as active. All 'Mian Zou Gang' (don't need to work)? That is why I always see it as a party with unknown backers.

"unknown backers", interesting...

SDP's videos are professionally done, the website is nice, their rallies are elaborate (i've been to their rallies). Some forumers here are paid by SDP I think because I often see one slug forumer constantly sharing SDP news.

They are not the most established opposition party but their fanfare surpassed the oldest, established and respectable Workers Party, and SDP isn't the biggest opposition party, so how does SDP upkeep their fanfare and elaborate set ups? It makes me wonder.

They appears to be a relatively rich party, as you've pointed out, their resources are questionable. But oddly, as my nephew pointed out to me earlier, SDP had a donation drive to 'save' Dr Chee: http://yoursdp.org/index.php/news/singapore/4538-stop-dr-chee-from-going-to-prison-this-election. I find it laughable. It is a PR exercise to score political gains.
