What a shame...
IT SADDENED me to read in Tuesday's report ('Stay out') that organisers had to erect barricades for the Schools National A Division Rugby Under-20 Police Cup final between Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Raffles Institution.
Singapore, one of the safest countries in the world, had to resort to erecting metal barricades in a school competition. What has happened to our social infrastructure?
It is time parents stop focusing on earning more money to chase after better material things for their families. And schools should stop concentrating solely on how to reach the top of the school ranking.
We need to get back to the basics of instilling discipline, character building, cultivating friendships in our young.
