Caught on CCTV: Serial burglar in Jurong
SINGAPORE - A young man believed to be involved in a series of break-ins at Jurong East has allegedly surrendered to the police.
RazorTV reported that the man in his 20s was responsible four cases of office break-ins reported within a week, and all of them happened at Blk 130, Jurong East Street 13.
The culprit was captured on a CCTV camera using a screw-driver to damage locksets. Glass panels of the broken-in offices were smashed, with the drawers ransacked.
In the first case, two laptops, two portable hard-disks, one phone charger and $400 in petty cash were stolen.
In the second case, a computer monitor was found missing. In the third case, there were signs of a door being tampered with.
The last case, which occured on December 10, saw one laptop, one digital camera and $1,220 in petty cash being stolen.
He is believed to be in his 20s, of medium-build and was last seen wearing a green camouflage windbreaker, white shirt, black pants, gloves and a pair of black-framed spectacles.
