Bulgarian sprinter Georgi Kirilov Georgiev suffered a freakishly horrific leg injury during a race at the European Championships
in Helsinki earlier this week.
Georgiev was running in the second lane of a 100-meter race at the European Athletic Championships when disaster struck a couple
feet from the finish line:
A misstep by Georgiev causes his right leg to buckle and a few steps later, the leg cleanly breaks before he cross the finish line.
