at this moment, VB is politically toxic to the PAP government. MBT/WKS may be more disliked but they do not amplify the damage by issuing out stupid statements such as the above. He comes across as totally hypocritical and has lost all credibility with the people.
VB came out saying that he did not overspend but rather UNDERSPEND according to the revised budget. Only a blatant disregard for the feelings of the electorate will prompt any normal human being to say something like that.
If LHL had any wits about him, he would cut VB. He has not done a good job as a minister for MCYS. Cutting of an incompetent arrogant minister would be the best sign that change is at hand PLUS it frees up space for new blood, e.g. Tan Chuan Jin. Since he was such a "good" doctor, please release him and let him serve society properly.
