By all means, declare what one would foolishly desire & hold on to the small Territories that RUS still fortunately holds...
UTIMATELY, one can only hold what one can defend, & such is NOT just based upon MILITARY MIGHT or blatant OPPRESSION in this modern World.
Holding on to a territory lays upon WHAT RUS can provide for HUMANS that lived in such occupied territories.
Can RUS provide at the least fair justice & critically SOCIAL EXPENDITURES such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc, etc, even to RUS supporters in its ILLEGALLY held territories, as RUS has FAR MORE social expenditure to spend & uplift lives in its own RUS Federation States?
More so after billions spent to fight a senseless war, with critical loss of lives on both sides, including even troops from its foolish ally-N korean that were sent to be canon folders at the frontline, to protect & preserve RUS troops?
Humans are not animals or slaves. The moment when they are felt ignored & left behind, that's where HUGE problems will arise.
One can tame a fire within an burning urn, but when many more other urns are burning, it will only lead to the ancestral experience of futile attempts to cover 10 burning urns when one has only 9 covers...

Those Russian speaking territories including Crimea was part of Russia before Khrushchev for weird reason, alienated it to Ukraine in 1950's when both were under Soviet Union.
