Life is stressful, full of struggles and suffering. Who would wish to be born if they knew what lay ahead? Not everyone is born intelligent enough to breeze through exams, be born into a wealthy family, get a high paying job and inherit landed property, lots of money etc. For the rest of the people, life will be a struggle to overcome loneliness, betrayal, disappointment, loss, illness and an early death.

At separate times, I heard two different unhappy teenagers protested to their parents that they did not ask to be born. To which I merely said Who in the history of the world asked to be born? Even Jesus Christ did not ask to be born, his father supposedly forced him to be born, magically by a virgin.

At our age, many of us have felt the pain of losing our grandparents, parents, spouses, siblings and perhaps even children. Life is full of tragedies and pain. If I could be young again, and know what lies ahead, I wouldn't have the strength to relive all that pain and disappointment all over again.
