a typical good natural mangrove habitat lose so that pinkie can have a boat ride. pathetic..

it was good place for anglers to fish within stone throw from their hdb flat. Now everythng is ban and without the tidal current, it just a stagnant pool of water with load of rubbish floating on it.

How much did they pay to get their family contractors to do they job.

Why rubbish? We are supposed to drink that water.

Totally agree.. I tried fishing there a few months back and realised that the water was stagnant... After 1 hour of fishing there, I decided to packed my gear and left the place..

fishing was ban many month ago, u luckily naber get caught.

sungei serangoon was a tidal waterway. buaya can be spotted in the past. water was rich with fish that mirganting birds make the tidal flats as a staging post. 25years ago, punggol fishing fleet repair and service it ships on that river in front my flat at HG ave 7. the whole mangrove habitat wipe out because of water needs due to the extra 2million FTrash population. sad... kingfisher that can be spot during low tide can no longer be seen. the price of self sufficient in fresh is too high to the natural habitat of singapore.

Venice my ass! Just one big longkang!

Like bigger version of Wet and Wild! Except not wet and not wild. Soon, it'll be filled with plastic bags, doggie bags, condoms, dead dogs, cats and birds, and anglers' debris.

bro,

let's hope no one turns it into another Bedok Reservoir...:eek::eek:

Yes zhihau. I agree with you. Maybe they should engage religious group to conduct prayer sessions first.

so sad...destroy something natural to create something artificial and made a big fuck out of it.

don't they realise, somethings once lost will neber be the same. Just like Chinatown food street.

they shld have created the housing estate around the waterway n not the other way round.

hard to say, humans are one troubled lot, maybe should have 10 year series on "how to be contented" :):):)
