Mr Lee Kuan Yew is in Istanbul, Turkey, this week to attend a meeting of the international council of the JPMorgan Chase banking giant.

He left Singapore on Monday night and will be in Istanbul till Friday. From Istanbul, Mr Lee will visit the United States, said a statement from his office yesterday.

No need to tell yer who's gonna foot the atrocious bill for his 5 star holiday in the US.

For goodness sake, if you look further down the list of recipients, you will notice that before 2008, they were all Americans. Looks like they have opened to foreigners only recently.

Most of the recipients were American politicians, their wives, or top civil servants.

i believe he is there for something else....getting a medal is just a front.
