"providing him the questions before the hearing"
(and getting pratha'ed deservedly) is not how a senate hearing goes and this 70 yo keling could've taken a leaf from hegseth's boo-boo when grilled on what asean was, by the same lady.the ability to speak emtempore / taking questions from reporters etc requires quick on the feet agility and having a good head on the shoulders / presence of mind / gravitas is par for the course and a highly desirable trait when one is the highest representor of a country like the usa, and this keling thought it was a walk in the park for a cushy posting, being pally with his brothers tharman and vivian, not forgetting the bragging rights within his ceca community.

As for Anjani Sinha, he graduated from an Indian Uni. Prob degree mill. He was totally inept during the Senate grilling. Just what is Trump's criteria for picking ambassadors?

Disclaimer:- this is a post filled with Irony but with Realities....
1. Would our Nation prefers :-
a) a super intelligent American Ambassador whom can assist, help and elevate our lives, in the proven Democratic American way, even though had up and downs over 200+ years of existence, but the results are proven to be better than other nations most of the time for Humankind
OR
b) a rich, pampered, redolent, prideful, ignoramus US Ambassador that can be easily placated and made used of so as to achieve our own National interests on the quiet side?
2. It is said that those whom cannot stand cooking fires best stay out of the kitchen. Politics is a dirty game and not for everyone, more so armchair morons.....
3. Thus may our govt, PrezTrump and US Congress make the right choice, not just for Singapore, but for each American Embassy leader in our World....Destiny to the stars await....

4. During my time in NS servicing my country as a recruit in BMT and courses which I learnt far more about Behavioral Sciences than any education institution can teach me, my team-mates and the insignificant nobody me would often categorize our training leaders as:-
a) Super on the ball - whom are often hated due to the tough, demanding and rigorous training we received, EVEN if such demands were proven necessary and right. While they often get the lowest popularity votes, but fortunately for them, the higher ups saw and recognized their values and were often promoted or given opportunities and responsibilities in other assignments.....
b) Super Chill - they are not ambitious, but will only perform to required KPI standards, not more and not less. They never wanted to be the best, for themselves and their trainees, because they know the stresses that caused may be unhealthy to all, but at the same time, to NEVER be the worst, as punishments awaits for all. They only seek to be average, in order for all to survive.
At times, because of such motivations, they became amazingly best training teams as they had the support of the trainees themselves, achieving mission objectives successfully than the best and the worst teams, with no pressures to perform, thus the evident results and such counts as we are a result orientated Nation....
c) Super Moron - they are not leaders by any means in any way of civilization standards, are more animals than Man and often suffer from inferiority complex. They only need to be flattered, pump up their egos and we trainees will get what we want......
