The president of Uruguay, José Mujica, is calling for different thinking to stop the trade in illegal drugs. He has proposed legalising the sale and distribution of marijuana. According to Al Jazeera's Lucia Newman, reporting from Montevideo, Mujica's plan has divided politicians.
