Union members ‘forced’ to vote for Tony Tan

I have been told by my union friends that they did not agree to endorse
Tony Tan when they were told by their shameless union leaders to do so.
Many have voiced disapproval.
Union members, Civil servants and RC/CC members of Singapore who
have been unduly intimidated and “forced” to vote for Tony Tan by their
leaders or bosses can complain to the Election Department or Police.
To guarantee that the complaints are heard, please also write to
news media including online alternative media,
like Temasek Review Emeritus.

It is a criminal offence for anyone to intimidate or unduly “force”
someone to vote for a candidate against his wish.
The secrecy of election and the free will to vote are protected
under the Constitution of Singapore.

TRE and other online channels should offer a web page or space
for people to write in officially if they feel intimidated or threatened
by anyone especially with regard to their jobs or union standings
if they don’t follow the instructions to vote for a certain candidate.

They can secretly vote for other candidate. Who knows if they just keep quiet.

I think 25-30% of working people works at Gov related sectors, so TT got the edge on this 1, but I hope some of them will vote wisely.

How to 'force'?
It's not as if need to show proof by taking photo of ballot paper which by the way is illegal.

This guy is an idiot. The vote is secret. What does he hope the Police and elections Dept to do, give him a brain and some balls.

Me many friends also union members aka kopitiam kaki members. How come nobody says they were "forced" to vote for Tony Tan? This is an example of the "ridiculous untruths".

PM Lee : [The social media/internet]..... it is anonymous, it is chaotic, it is unfiltered, unmoderated and so the medium lends itself to many negative views and ridiculous untruths.

Since her "pals" have raised the issue with her, why didn't she convince them to write to TR with their real names? Looks like a mutated strain of the "many people" virus.

Agree while PAP forums, STOMP and facebook of ministers have been deleting comments and criticisms critical to the PAP. :D
