Post date:

The Singapore Department of Statistics on Key Household Income Trends 2014 has reported that the median household income in 2014 was $8,290, a 5.3% increase from the last year.

Interestingly, another thing that the report revealed was that there was a sharp increase in the number of unemployed households with 13% more in 2014 compared to the year before.
Income inequality also increased slightly from 0.463 in 2013 to 0.464 in 2014.
The amount of government transfers to the poor was also significantly lower in 2014 compared to 2013 meaning the gini coefficient, a measure of income inequality, measured after government transfers was 0.412. The year before, it was 0.409.
Interestingly, these negative statistics were not reported in the mainstream media which only highlighted the increased median household incomes.

Not to worry.

What's really important is whether voters--especially the ones who are jobless or who are at the bottom of the low-income group (read: poor)--will vote for real change (read: vote the opposition)

The only reason for reading the MSM these days is to see what they leave out. Very entertaining .

No unemployment la.
Those are lazy fucks who refuse to work.....
Cab drivers, crane operators, dish washers all can make big bucks....
Cleaners, security guards positions all waiting to be filled.....
The enterprising ones be own boss selling tissues or collect cardboard and drink cans.....
It's you choose to work or not.....
$1k income can buy hdb flat and provide for family of 4.....
What unemployment?!

This proves that foreigners are more talented.
