Users of the social networking site Twitter are staging a protest in the UK against the online menace of trolling, when abusive and threatening messages are sent to other users.
The call to boycott the site for 24 hours follows a series of death threats and abusive messages sent to prominent women on Twitter.
Twitter has apologised and attempted to tackle the problem by updating its rules and complaints procedure, but the attacks have continued.
