What a waste: The ugly side of Labrador Park

what_a_waste_the_ugly_side_of_labrador_park-thumbnail.jpg

STOMPer Mariner says Labrador Park is rather unattractive to the public because of the visible air pollution across the coast, and sharp rocks and litter on the beach.

The disappointed STOMPer says:

"These pictures were taken at Labrador Park at Labrador Villa Road.

"The offshore islands have many refineries which emit black smoke from the tall chimneys.

"This is a serious source of air pollution.

"The park faces a very rocky coast and these rocks have sharp edges and hence the beach is not safe for swimming.

"A large black bag was washed ashore by the waves and left stranded on the beach. Some ropes and dead tree trunks were also washed ashore and left near the shoreline."

Stupid misleading post.

Labrador is part of the Labrador Nature Reserve. There is the Labrador Park for people to play, jog and cycle and enjoy the sea breeze. The rocky beach is also part of the Nature Reserve. No houses or commecial buildings are allowed to be built there, or strictly controlled. Sentosa is an island and is not part of the park.

Would you not like to live near to a Nature Reserve?
