[h=1]TWO MEN JAILED FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING THEIR DRUNK SECONDARY SCHOOL FRIEND[/h]

Two men have been sentenced to jail for taking advantage of their former secondary school friend after she passed out from drinking too much.
The three had been playing drinking games and the girl ended up passing out from over consumption of alcohol.
One man then sexually assaulted and molested the victim while the other took photos of her in sexually suggestive and undressed poses.
All three had known each other from secondary school and they are now all aged 29.
The victim had been invited to a reunion in a flat at Bukit Panjang and she had believed that their other secondary school friends would be there.
The three of them started playing drinking games and she became heavily intoxicated.
After the men took advantage of her and the alcohol started to wear off, the woman came to her senses and called some friends. Later, she lodged a police report about the issue.
The incident happened in 2009 but both men claimed trial against the offences and it was not until November last year that they were convicted after 49 days of trials.
The man who had sexually assaulted the woman was sentenced to 7 years in jail and 9 strokes of the cane. He is appealing his sentence and has been offered bail of $30,000.
The other man was sentenced to 19 months in jail and he is considering appealing. His bail was set at $25,000.
