Local artistes Joanne Peh (above, right) and Qi Yuwu were present during a police raid at Geylang on Saturday morning.
They were there to observe the police officers as part of their preparation for their roles as police officers in an upcoming Channel 8 drama serial, C.L.I.F. 2.
In all, the police arrested 40 people in the six-hour operation that ended at around 3am.

TV stars Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu looked ill at ease as they stood in the front yard of a terrace house
where the woman and about 20 others - all believed to be prostitutes - were made to gather.
They were there to observe the police officers as part of their preparation for their roles as police officers
in an upcoming Channel 8 drama serial, C.L.I.F. 2.
A reporter, who was also present during the raid, noticed Qi pacing back and forth, with a worried look on his face.
It appeared that he was trying to avoid eye contact with about 50 onlookers, who had gathered outside the house to watch the unfolding real-life drama.
Peh, on the other hand, stood before the arrested women with her back to the onlookers and her arms folded across her chest. When The New Paper later asked her what was going through her mind, she said: "There was definitely this concern that you don't want to be giving the people the wrong impression that I am coming here to apprehend anyone.
The two actors and media were taken to the Four Chain Hotel at Geylang Road, near Lorong 39, where another raid was in full swing.
Officers were seen knocking on the doors of every one of the some 50 rooms in the four-storey budget hotel.
The women came from countries such as China, Vietnam and Thailand,
and are believed to be involved in vice-related activities. Investigations are ongoing.
The suspects were taken away in two vans at around 1.30am.
Anyone convicted of prostitution-related offences under the Women's Charter can be jailed up to five years and fined up to $10,000.
