It has been brought to our attention that TR Emeritus (TRE) may have been compromised as a few readers have reflected that at times, when they visit the TRE website, they were being forced to redirect to a Chinese website at 51mz.org (attached right).
Following the feedback, Our techie, Andrew did a complete trojan and virus scan of the server and the result was negative.
As such, it could be that the user’s mobile or desktop may have been infected or it could be some malicious ad codes from the ad tags on TRE. Our techie is currently working with the respective advertisers to check on that.
Since Andrew was not able to replicate the problem that affected users are facing, it is difficult for him to pinpoint the problem and resolve it.
Please therefore help by following up in this thread if you have encountered such a problem, even if it is only just once. You do not need to provide details, just the approximate date and confirmation that you were also affected will do.
If you have other issues while visiting TRE, do highlight it as well, so that Andrew can look into it.
