Singapore Police Force
Traffic Police (TP) and the Land Transport Authority (LTA) conducted joint operations against errant cyclists from 21 to 25 October 2013 at various locations in Singapore. A total of 158 cyclists were given road safety advice and 6 summonses were issued to errant cyclists who were caught flouting traffic rules such as failing to ride in an orderly manner or failing to conform to red light.

Cyclists are a vulnerable group of road users. In the interest of road safety, all cyclists must play their part by adhering to traffic rules and regulations. Ultimately, road safety is a shared responsibility. While cyclists have a role to play, motorists should also take extra precaution and keep a proper lookout for cyclists.
