Have been getting too many Tele Marketing calls these days.
Typical cold calls from ANZ, SCB, UOB, AIA and even Great Eastern agents.

I wonder is there a black list that we can save in our mobile phone to remind us
not to pick up those calls.

No black list. The best way to stop them is to tell them that you are a bankrupt. :D

Yeah this is the best method..but the caller will sounds like "sian jit bua.." then say thank you sir in a Sian jit bua tone. keke

Once we start to get these coLd TeLe-marketing caLLs; it onLy means Economy is reaLLy damed bad..

sometimes you should engage them instead of rejecting them.

if the banks call up and said they got credit facilities and can lent you money.

you ask them if they can lend you one billion dollars. if they don't have they will sure not to call you back again. :D

That won't work because most of the time, they got the contact from banks and only call after checking that your balance is healthy.

if you using smartphone, then can add those number to reject list.. if they use private number, then tell them you are driving then hang up.

not really.....the numbers are being recycled over and over again....my wife put my number once under her name dunno for what thing and I have been receiving calls BUT asking for her name for the last 8 years. I have never forgiven her but has since learnt to live with it. Nowadays, I just tell the caller you've got the wrong number, obviously right ...a guy answering a call meant for a very obvious lady's name....screw IDA. 1 DNC registry take so long to implement....letting Singtel, M1 and Starhub earn all the money first....

Actually just tell them that you are not interested politely and hang up. They will get the message and stop after a few times.

One that stuck to my mind was this young local girl calling from Citibank offering a "no-interest personal loan". This one I engaged for a conversation as she was quite presistant to the point of being abusive when I politely told her no.

I asked her the following, "why would I need such a loan?", "where does the bank make money?" all the way to "would you take such a loan yourself?" And she retorted by saying that I must be stupid not to take a interest free loan to go spending!!

got black list but you need to find on other forums. The numbers are recorded down and posted on the forum. You should do the same too. Remember the numbers from these companies and either post them on the forum to help others or just put them inside the reject list on your phone to reject them.

There was a site that listed all the numbers and ppl posted them and commented on them you can try finding for it

Anyway here's a list some ppl are talking about perhaps you can find some numbers that called you there

Why do you even bother talking to them?

I just hang up or i wait for them to speak a while and just hang up making them waste their time and effort speaking.

Since the last few times I told them I'm a bankrupt, they have stopped calling me. All peaceful for a few months. Then I started getting those "legal" loans SMS :o

I am damm piss bcos 90 % of time its eiter india infian or pinoy on the other line n nowadays they call via a server hence caller id is strange looking number.

once I say I staying at sayang sayang the telemarketer hung up immediately must b local that one

Latest tactic is to scream into ph shouting "Hallo! is 9******* your number?"

Like you going to receive URGENT NEWS

I screamed back at him shut the F*** up!

Use the DNC registry. The company can be fined up to $5000 if they cold call your number.. but.. only available in 2014.

Not bad. But there are still loopholes.

The DNC registry is meant to focus on telemarketing calls or messages of a commercial nature sent to consumers. Messages for pure market survey or research; messages that promote charitable or religious causes; personal messages sent by individuals; public messages sent by government agencies; and political messages will not be covered under the DNC registry provisions. Telemarketing calls or messages of a commercial nature that target other businesses are also excluded from the DNC registry provisions.

I will tell them to buy 2 Root canals package from me then I buy their their product.

another way is to say you are part-time insurance agent...then ask them if they want to meet up to do some financial planning!
