What an inspiration Tiny Tony is. Indeed, Zikapore should learn from the resilience of Poland and the Czech Republic. After all, they were under communist strong man who enforced their personal rules with a secret police and had the so called courts under their control and had extensive surveillance on their own citizens, etc. Sounds familiar? Tiny Tony is saying that if Poland and Czech can rise up and throw their yokes of oppression off, so can we zikaporeans, hurray for Tiny Tony.

PRAGUE: Singapore can learn from Poland and Czech Republic’s resilience in overcoming challenges, including economic transformation and threats of terrorism, President Tony Tan Keng Yam said on Saturday (May 27).

Speaking to media at the end of his state visit to these two countries, President Tan said he was “impressed” by the resilience of both societies. He said both countries have “met challenges on a scale we’ve not met before. And yet they have not really survived, but continue to do well.”

Making reference to Poland in World War II, President Tan said it was almost “completely flattened”, but they have “reconstructed it systematically”, and “it’s something that deserves to be recognised”.

This, Dr Tan says, is something that “holds resonance for Singaporeans”.

This guy is never in Singapore. I won't be surprised that he is flying in and out of his base in the U.K.

The worst President we have had.

I thought he was supposed to have been
keeping an eye on the national reserves. with the amount of time he spends overseas, the PAP could be stealing us blind and he would not know.

The guy was reluctant in the first place. Now that he knows that he only needs to complete this term, he cant be bothered. His comments from his recent visit is the stuff that you blog as you go on holidays.

Statement from the Istana:

Today, President Tony Tan released a statement retracting his comments on the resilience of Poles and Czechs and how Singapore can learn from these two countries. The President wishes to convey that resilience is only for the citizens of angmo countries and does not apply to countries located in Soth East Asia. Such countries have a different Asian value and are encouraged to refrain from any resiliency and continue to be subjugated under whichever dictatorial/military junta they live under. That is all.
