Agree that Tony Tan is now the favourite. A one-on-one would have been to risky for PAP and hence they are now allowing a free-for-all to split the 40% opposition vote and hope that Tony Tan can hold onto the majority of their 60% base.

It could end up 40-20-20-20. Unfortunately the 40 would probably be TT.

But it's possible that someone (possibly TJS) may drop out and ask his supporters to pull behind another canddiate (possibly TCB).

Using Tan Jee Say as a precedent, the number of people who now qualify for EP has multiplied over night. Any fund manager that has $100m AUM can now apply.

PAP probably knows they are setting a very dangerous precedent here... Smells fishy...
