A nice story, until you realize that many of the newer HDB BTO flats were built by Tiong construction companies.

Even their lifts are of some obscure Tiong brand. You have to ride on one to experience it... it's definitely not a Fujitec, Mitsubishi, Schindler, Kone or Otis etc.
