After the Workers’ Party was thoroughly rejected at the GE2016, the political dynamics among the opposition parties has been realigned……The real Opposition MPs who truly represent the voice of the people will challenge the PAP reactionary MPs in the upcoming Parliament….

"Since GE2011, the Workers’ Party has been ineffective in the Parliament to speak up against PAP unpopular policies while supporting the PAP regime in passing unwelcome major legislations, such as million dollar salary for the Ministers. As such, they have been attacked by other Opposition parties for betraying the people and selling out democratic principles."

“The votes won by other Opposition parties have increased significantly. They have also won more seats in the Parliament. So, they may believe that their strategy of directly challenging the government has been very successful.
As for the Workers’ Party, it depends whether their Vichy leaders are still daring to resist the public opinion and continue to collaborate and Co-Drive with the PAP regime.
Currently, the general perception is such that talking to this government is totally useless. This government only knows how to bully the weak and fear the strong. To deal with this ruffian regime, you must be more fierce than them, not only inside the Parliament but more so outside the Parliament!” – political analyst.
